Location: Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex, Texas
Start Date: Immediate Hire (September 11th start date)
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am – 3pm
Pay Range: $45,000 – $50,000 (based on experience)

Title: Potty Training Counselor

Job Summary:
As a Potty Training Counselor you will play a crucial role in assisting toddlers with their potty training journey in the comfort of their own homes leveraging a highly successful process that is proprietary and has created a year long waitlist. This process takes place over 3-5 days in a child’s home as opposed to the parent taught average of 3-6 months! Your primary responsibility will be to create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere, guiding children through the potty-training process and helping them develop independence and self-assurance. This position will occur in the client’s home with on-the-job training provided and potential growth opportunities within the company.

Responsibilities: 

  • Leveraging the company’s proprietary process to create individualized Potty Training Sessions for ages 2-5 years old
  • Customized training tailored to each child’s unique style and developmental needs over their 3-5 day camp
  • Behavioral Observation: Observe children’s behaviors, cues, and patterns to identify readiness for potty training and adapt training techniques accordingly
  • Positive Reinforcement: Implement positive reinforcement strategies to encourage and motivate children throughout their potty training journey
  • Communication with Parents: Providing updates on their child’s progress, discussing challenges, and offering guidance on fostering a consistent potty training routine at home
  • Hygiene and Safety: Ensure a hygienic and safe environment during potty training sessions, following proper sanitation practices, and promoting good hygiene
  • Education and Training: Educate parents on effective potty training methods and offer guidance on age-appropriate strategies for continued support at home

Requirements: 

  • 2-5 years of experience working with toddlers in a childcare setting or similar
  • A strong understanding of child development and potty training techniques
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to connect with the children and parents
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude during transitions
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when working in clients’ homes
  • Reliable transportation to travel to clients’ locations for in-home training sessions throughout the DFW metroplex

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prior experience with potty training
  • Certification in early childhood education or related fields
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Experience working with children who have developmental delays
