Go Go Me Agency is seeking a Facilities and Family Lake Retreat Manager

Our Client, a private Fort Worth family, seeks an experienced, self-directed, responsible local Multi-Property & Facilities Manager. This position’s primary duties are to assist with the overall upkeep and maintenance of the owner’s lakeside ranch, including management of the property’s exteriors and interiors.

The position is a live-out role, consisting typically of a 5-6 day work schedule, with the flexibility to work longer hours and weekends if needed. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing multiple properties, facilities, vendor coordination, grounds and landscapes, lakes, and pools on the nearly 100-acre property.

The candidate will play a pivotal role in harmonizing the responsibilities of this unique position, with all family members ensuring that operations reflect the family’s values and meet their personal needs of privacy and security. This position demands not only a deep understanding of property management and ranch land practices but also a commitment to environmental stewardship.

Leadership is crucial in integrating these elements into a cohesive, sustainable, and thriving family private resort/retreat environment, setting a high standard for excellence.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing the upkeep of the full ranch and retreat property, multiple residences, pool, lakeside maintenance duties, and all equipment management, which include coordination of land preparation and grounds maintenance
  • Single point of contact for principals’ property-related matters
  • Detailed daily organization, inspections, and maintenance. Manage vendors, such as groundskeepers, electricians, HVAC, plumbing, and potential construction/up-keep projects
  • Regular checks throughout the property to make sure the households are running seamlessly
  • Maintenance of vehicles and golf carts
  • Occasionally, driving will be required with the provided vehicle
  • Serving as gatekeeper to the principal; answering phone calls and private gate traffic
  • Maintaining the property inventories and procurement of tools, supplies, and equipment
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise two additional ranch hand positions
  • Responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance, care, repair, and storage of all ranch equipment, including irrigation systems, UTVs, tractors, and implements 
  • Lead in the development and oversight of infrastructure construction and maintenance including fencing, barns, sheds, and residential properties
  • Provide field preparation, irrigating, and cropping as needed
  • Maintain files of warranties, records, licenses, inspections, service agreements, and contractors

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English; exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal – Spanish as a second language is appreciated
  • Excellent references are required from both current and previous employers
  • Minimum 20+ years of related experience working in a similar position(s) with a private family
  • Requires a thorough understanding of agricultural practices, estate maintenance, and the ability to manage a team effectively
  • Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; above and beyond attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility in schedule with the willingness to work long hours and overtime as needed
  • Proficiency in operating tractors, implements, and performing basic engine repairs
  • Carpentry and construction skillset – welding skillset is appreciated
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in all seasons
  • Must have experience working in challenging environments where discretion and confidentiality are required
  • Additional Property Management responsibilities as requested
  • Ability to bend and lift 50 pounds 
  • Valid driver’s license; confident driver with zero points – CDL is preferred
  • Authorized to work within the United States
  • Background check required
  • Drug testing required
  • Non-Smoker
  • Local to the DFW area ideally, no relo provided

About the Ranch

The Ranch is located in Tarrant County on Eagle Mountain Lake. The property pursues sustainable operations and conservation land management practices that endeavor to honor and preserve the surrounding and long-standing ecosystem created by the family.

A Lodge is the primary residence on the property. Additionally, 4 other homes are also located on the ranch. This lake-side retreat includes multiple boat docks, 3 boats, and an event space/beach house. The garage hall houses multiple golf carts. There is no livestock on the property to manage. There are indigenous wildlife on the property and occasionally horses.

Compensation, Location, and Terms

$150,000 – $200,000
Fantastic benefits package
This is a full-time, year-round position located near Fort Worth, Texas.
The position reports directly to the Owner of the property. 
Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
